Virginia Beach

I went to Virginia Beach last weekend with the Senior Youth Group and took some pictures from my 10th floor balcony....what a beautiful way to wake up and to end the day.

Troll Wedding of the Century

Miss Reed is so cool! She let us have a troll wedding during our lunch/recess. Even the principal showed up to ask why she wasn't asked to do the flowers for the wedding. Welcome everyone to Tina and Trevor's Wedding. (Side Note) I figured as long as it wasn't during class time they could go to it. I was asked to provide my trolls from growing up, so there could be a congregation. And I did the troll vows...for the trolly matrimony. Actually, the whole process was a blast and weeks of prep time. It kept the girls occupied. Invitations went out and everything. What will they think of next!

When Miss Reed has a camera at recess

One of the things we do in the Middle School is called the "Wall". If you don't turn in homework/dress code slips you have to spend recess on the wall. These two boys are on the wall. They hate it when I take pictures of them while they are there. Look at those faces. :)

Valentine's Day

Today the Middle School had a free dress day as a reward for no dress slips for 2nd Quarter. One of my eighth graders, John, decided to celebrate the day by wearing a suit that his brother gave him...I guess it came from e-bay. We all couldn't stop looking at the color. Wow!

My new 6th Graders learning how to be Michelangelo. :) They keep saying their arms hurt.

Enjoying December 1st

Spent Yesterday going to the first girls basketball game. We lost, but it was fun to listen to the parents laugh through it all.....and it was even better walking in and all the girls screaming because I had come to watch them. The parents said it was like I was a celebrity.

In the afternoon I took a drive out along the George Washington Parkway...it was just beautiful out today. This is the house in downtown Alexandria that I'm in love with.

Current Events - Social Studies Time every Friday

Poor Justin on the left called me Mom the other day. You should have seen his face when he realized what he said. I tried my hardest not to laugh so I wouldn't make him feel bad. It didn't bother me.
This is why Miss Reed is the coolest teacher around....it's because SHE lets us get on the computers to work on homework. Sooo Awesome in a 6th Graders mind. What I like about the computer lab is that I can sit in one chair and watch all their screens from that one spot just by watching my computer on the left and then do my own work on the computer on the right...and my mouse controls both...and controls their computers. Yep...they are right. IT IS AWESOME!
