Today's Adventures

Eating lunch in the Old Post Office in D.C.

The crown I plan to wear when I become Queen Elizabeth of the entire universe.

My favorite picture at the National Gallery of Art. Dad, you and I are going to have to go there when you come and then I can show you this picture. It is something else.
I think this is a picture that you would enjoy Dad...I'll show that one to you too.

Rebecca is here!!!

School Changing

Imagine walls up. These are pictures of our school conference/mailbox:faculty/storage area for crafts room off the kindergarten room. The room was gutted in preparation for the tiles on the floor to come up. We are changing all the floor tiles and some walls within the school (school office and everything) because we have asbestos under the tiles, which is causing our floor to shift and buckle. For instance, in Barb's office, when you walked through you felt like you were going up and down small hills. Things had to be done, so here is the start. By the end, we will have a much bigger faculty room off this, which we are all looking forward to.

Church Picnic - June 10th

These pictures are a little late, but oh well. These are some pictures of our church picnic. It began raining right at the beginning, but by the end it was just cloudy, so we had time to play water balloons and such.

Travel Agents

Today the Seventh graders presented their final Social Studies project for the year. They were suppose to be travel agents and create brochures and posters for the destination site of their choice. They could either dress up as a travel agent or as a person who would have had a connection to their site. Here they are.

Cole's Closet

This past Saturday the junior youth went to work at a carnival at St. John's in Alexandria. It was for something called Cole's Closet. It's an orginization that raises money for kids in hospitals. We had a fun time and I got to see some of Josh's friends there, which was nice.

Pen pals in D.C.

On the 30th of May, I took the 8th graders into downtown D.C. to meet their pen pals from Traverse City, Michigan. It was hotter then hades that day. The eighth graders look tired. By the end, we were all wiped out from the heat.

Chicks Hatch

The chicks in the 5th grade hatched....well, kind of. Sadly only two of the the maybe 12 chicks hatched. At least they had each other. The 5th graders were disappointed.
