Christmas Program Set

Our school Christmas program this year was titled, "It All Happened in the Country." This is what the set looked like. It is supposed to be a farm house with a barn in the distance. Here is the barn I drew out and painted on paper and then Les Hambridge attached it to cardboard.
Then Les asked me to make a fence that looked like real wood, with some black knots all over it. Here's what I came up with for a fence. Not bad...Les said it looked perfect! That was good enough for me.

Fall View

I love the view from my main window during the fall season. The color of the trees over the edge of the roof is so beautiful.

Georgetown Cupcake

If you've ever seen the show, Georgetown Cupcakes...I think on TLC...this is one of their cupcakes. They taste even better than they look. The frosting was literally amazing.

New Globe

I told my Geography students that I wanted a globe for the classroom and would get one someday. The next day one of my 8th graders came up to me and asked me if I wanted a globe that their family had and didn't want. I said yes, not knowing that it was going to be this nice. The kids love it and are looking at it all the time.

Earthquake

Some lights were a little messed up. But that's really all I saw outside. Inside my angel figurines had a hard time.
Hey, at least it was something.

Classroom '11

I picked these up at the teacher store. They made me laugh. Can you guess what they are supposed to be teaching?
This is my new smartboard. The earthquake messed with it, so now we have to get someone in to look at it before I can use it again.
Our theme this year is Aim High.

Fort Washintgon

Fort Foote

I'm pretty sure they could shoot over a mile. That's pretty much all that was there at Fort Foote.
