Saturday fun

On Saturday we headed over to Dim Sum at Oriental East in Silver Spring, Maryland.  I had to take a picture of Dad eating chicken feet.  You can't judge it until you try it.

After lunch we headed over to take a look at the huge Mormon Temple.  Ugly building but the grounds were lovely.  All these people walking back and forth from their cars were carrying bags.  Dad said they were probably the holy underwear they are required to wear when they go in.  Yikes!  Too sad.

Then we headed over to wear Andy works currently.  It's the first time I've seen the place too.  I didn't know there was this gigantic chair outside the place.

Andy works on the top floor in that gray section.  The window of his office is right in the center where the two buildings meet.  You can see three windows there.  His is the middle of those three windows.

However, thumbs up for the new building they are building for them next door.  It was supposed to have been completed a few months ago, but sadly, still being worked on today.  Oh well, maybe at some point he'll get to work in there.

Happy Birthday Andy!

We went out to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on Andy's birthday.  It had a wonderful view part of Washington D.C. and the Potomac River.  The dinner was a piece of heaven melting in your mouth.  And Andy got a nice little dessert.

We had to go home of course and open presents and have birthday cake too.

Asian Dinner

Even though these are dad's pictures, I thought I'd show them too.  This is where we shop for our Asian food.  Below is me preparing some food for our Chinese meal that night at home.

Monticello

We decided to head over to Monticello the day after the 4th.  Unfortunately, by the time we got there, all the tickets had been sold out for the house tour.  In other words, buy online in advance. We did get a chance to walk around and snap some outdoor photos before the long drive back home.  Oh well.  At least it was a nice day outdoors.
