New Bedroom

It was time to say goodbye to the old bedroom decoration and grow up a little bit. Thirty is only a little over a year off, so I thought it was time to make my bedroom grow up with me. I'm pretty proud of my little changes. How do you like it now?

My new quilt for my bed has arrived!

I've been wanting to redo my bedroom for a long time and decided to start it off with a new quilt for my bedding. I got a really nice one on sale from Macy's and it just arrived! You can't even order this particular one anymore on their site. Apparently, I got one of the last ones. I love it!

Chinese New Year Parade

I had a wonderful time in Chinatown watching the Chinese New Year Parade. Hope you enjoy the pictures. It's the year of the dragon. Very cool.

This one was my favorite. It came right up to me and danced all around. I love that it's eyes blink. Watch the video.

Christmas Program Set

Our school Christmas program this year was titled, "It All Happened in the Country." This is what the set looked like. It is supposed to be a farm house with a barn in the distance. Here is the barn I drew out and painted on paper and then Les Hambridge attached it to cardboard.

Then Les asked me to make a fence that looked like real wood, with some black knots all over it. Here's what I came up with for a fence. Not bad...Les said it looked perfect! That was good enough for me.

I love the view from my main window during the fall season. The color of the trees over the edge of the roof is so beautiful.

Georgetown Cupcake

If you've ever seen the show, Georgetown Cupcakes...I think on TLC...this is one of their cupcakes. They taste even better than they look. The frosting was literally amazing.
