I Bought a New Couch!

Mom and I stopped by this little shop thinking there was no way we would find a new couch for me within it. Actually, we did. Here's what it looks like. I'm so excited!
The blue fabric will be my sofa color and the design fabric is for my accent pillows. The brown behind it is the color of my suede chair next to my couch. How do you like the colors together? I think I did pretty darn good. My lower back is happy I'm getting a new couch too.

Lutheran Schools Week

The week started off with some bowling. We had a fun time.
Tuesday was Marti Gras. All the students received masks and beads.
Thursday was Twin Day.
Friday was Super Teams. It's a time when all the students are broken into 12 teams, and the teams compete against one another. I was in charge of the puzzle game, where each team had to put together three different difficulty level puzzles in order to receive points. It was a fun game to watch.
At the end, all the teams gather again to see which place they got in the whole scheme of things.
Our scoreboard
Each team receives a bag of candy, which they have to share. The closer you get to first place, the more candy each person in your team receives.
It was alot of fun and a great way to end this week.

Stanley In Washington D.C.

Well, Stanley had a wonderful time in Washington D.C. He got stuck on the Metro and had to take a bus the rest of the way into Washington. And when he got his picture taken, he couldn't get very close to the objects, so he is a little blurry sometimes, but that's ok.
Well, the first place that Stanley wanted to see was the Air and Space Museum. Talk about a lot of planes!
Is this Uncle Norman's plane, Super Grandpa?
He was so excited to see the space rockets. It was just all so tiring that we had to sit down for a break. Aunt Elizabeth had to take a break too from all the people looking at her when she took pictures of Stanley in front of her. She even heard the word crazy whispered once. Anyway... Next, we headed over to the Museum of Natural History. "Jacob, isn't that a big elephant," says Stanley.
He got his picture taken in front of a dinosaur. Well, in front of it's bones at least.
Whoa, look at those teeth. "I hope he brushes them every night," laughed Stanley.
A Zebra
A Giraffe
A Rhino. "I'm glad he's not coming after me," Stanley squealed.
After the museum, Stanley had his picture taken by the Washington Monument, or what cousin Nathan likes to call the Rocket Ship.
Next, we headed over to the Museum of American History. There Stanley got a chance to see a REALLY old school bus.
And there was an old train too.
"Look at that old car," laughed Stanley.
Next was the best part of the whole trip. Stanley got to see the White House from both sides. He told me that he wants to live there someday.
It was a great trip, and Stanley had a ton of fun. But he misses Jacob. He told Aunt Elizabeth to tell Jacob that he is coming home really soon, and can't wait to see Jacob. But for now, goodbye from Washington D.C.

Stanley Refuses

Stanley refused to get his picture taken by any of these things.
It's headless!
