What a wonderful picture! Wish I could be there to meet them in person. I'm sure they will be the best 8th grade class ever!

Be sure to share with them all the wonderful stories you have about your fantastic sister, Rebecca, reserving those embarrasing moments for stories about...Christine? : )

Thanks for the picture. Looks like a good group. And I hope they know how lucky they are to have you, too. Do you need pictures of your family to put up on your desk? Especially one of your favorite nephew from Michigan? :)

For however long you teach, you'll always be able to remember the names of all these kids in your first class.

They'll come to love you--
I know we do.

A great looking bunch.

They look like a bunch of hooligans! Forget the nice stuff the rest of your family said! Well, no, not all of it - Dad said they'll come to love you, but the truth of it is, you'll love them in a way you won't love any other class. It's unavoidable - so just start loving them now.

And as far as telling embarrassing stories about me goes - go ahead - I tell plenty of them myself - but I'm also telling them about all of you! (Look how long Dad has been telling stories about us! Most totally exaggerated or completely untrue! At least my stories are clear and accurate recollections of childhood.)

Love you - and proud of you too!
