The NJHS did a service project down by the Potomac River one Saturday in September. This was our work area. We found bags and bags of trash, clothes, food containers, diapers, a tire, and one whole baby carrier.
We had to tally up all the trash we collected as we went.
The Potomac River which we were right next to.
There was even a pretty waterfall down there.
The boys were proud to find an old tire.
Hard work and a huge downhill and uphill hike. Uphill not easy with all the heavy trashbags, but we had a good time and a neat experience.
