Last night the Pentagon was shooting up these blue lights for the rememberance of Sept. 11. The pictures aren't that great, but the first picture is when I was driving by the Pentagon last night. You can see the blue lights going up into the air. The second picture is the sky looking from my aparment.
Tropical Storm Ernesto has been moving in since 7:00 this morning. Lights have been flickering on and off at school and the wind is pretty strong. My umbrella was almost torn out of my hands this morning. I think it's a night to stay in. Pictures don't do justice to what I can see out my windows.

I'm a teacher.
Pastor's Installation reception picture follows. It wasn't a dinner like I thought it was going to be. Sorry for the mixup...it wasn't my reception picture. Mine was nothing compared to that.
Rebecca, do you like my wall display? I thought this reading display would be perfect since during the day the students have silent reading. I thought this could be my reading corner. Then I find out from Josh that silent reading is just study hall time, not silent reading. Man! At least it looks good and will stay up.
The bug men came and now the bugs are GONE ...hopefully. Well, I guess they can't really be gone unless they were there in the first place. I move all my furniture myself and I just get one little card for a thank you.
And now I have a new building I'm going to be in across the street....not the one I thought I was going to be in. So, now I'm in this building in apartment 312.
I'm sure most of you know that mom and I went to Arlington this week to look for housing. I did find a one bedroom one bath apartment in Arlington. It is about a half mile from the school so I'll be saving on gas big time. I'm in apartment 404...so fourth floor obviously. Here is a picture of my apartment complex. I also had an opportunity to visit Our Savior, look at my room and meet most of the faculty. They are a great bunch of people and I'm sure I'm going to have a great time there. Here are some pictures of my classroom. There's MOM!!
Here are some pictures of my church and the side of the school.
Elizabeth,
Greetings from Our Savior Lutheran Church and School in Arlington, Virginia. I am writing to extend my warmest welcome as you prepare to join the staff at OSL Church and School. As part of the congregational leadership, I can say that the committment, dedication and professionalism of the church and school staff at OSL is beyond comparison. You are joining a fantastic team! As a parent with two children in OSL's school I can tell you that the caring and sharing of God's word in the school is all that a parent could hope to find for their children. You are joining a wonderful mission!
We are delighted that you have accepted the call and look forward to your arrival. I know that Pastor Fredericksen, Barb and Sylven will help in any way they can, but if I am able to be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or e-mail. Again, welcome and we look forward to having you "on board".
In His service,

Here is my school. I think it is so cute and very Virginia style. If I didn't know better, I would say this building could have been the place the Declaration of Independence was signed.
